I am a graduate of the University of New South Wales, having studied in Sydney and the Rural Clinic School in Albury.
My Fellowship is in General Practice, with an advanced skill in Anaesthetics. I spend my time between the clinic and the hospital, where I participate in the Anaesthetics roster. In General Practice, I have an interest in General presentations, Chronic Health, Women’s Health, Antenatal care and Paediatrics. I am also involved with Medical Education with the Australian College or Rural and Remote Medicine.
I am married to a local farmer and we have a young family, and as such I work part-time in medicine. I enjoy spending time with family, friends, cooking, gardening,reformer Pilates and camping when time permits.

Dr Clare Garner has been working at Kincraig Medical Clinic since 2009.  Over this time, she has worked in General Practice and also provided emergency, inpatient and obstetric care at Naracoorte Hospital.

Dr Clare is originally from country Victoria, and studied Medicine at Monash University, Melbourne, graduating with honours in 2005.  She completed her internship at the Alfred Hospital, before moving to South Australia and working at both Flinders Medical Centre and The Women’s and Children’s Hospitals.

In 2009 Dr Clare completed her Diploma in Obstetrics, and has provided both antenatal care through Kincraig Medical Clinic, and intrapartum care at Naracoorte Hospital.  In 2011 she fellowed with the Royal Australia College of General Practitioners.

Currently, Dr Clare works across 2 sites with Kincraig Medical Clinic, consulting in both Naracoorte and Lucindale.  She also continues to provide obstetric care at Naracoorte Hospital one day a week.

Dr Clare is passionate about providing quality healthcare to rural patients.  Her special interest areas include Women’s Health and Family Planning, Paediatric Care, and Preventative Medicine.

In her spare time, you might find her volunteering within the Lucindale Community, spending time with her young family, playing tennis or running.

Dr Brian Norcock, Rural GP Generalist, OAM MBBS (Adelaide) Dip Obs FACRRM

Dr Brian Norcock has been a rural GP at Naracoorte for 42 years.  He was born in Pinnaroo South Australia and graduated from medical school at Adelaide University in 1979.  For three years he worked in the Royal Adelaide and Modbury Hospitals, then he served 18 months with the Royal Flying Doctor Service out of Port Augusta before moving to Naracoorte.

Over the decades he has attended over 2000 deliveries.  He has also provided hospital and accident and emergency services and anaesthetics.  Special interests include chronic disease management, depression including Spravato treatment, Q Fever vaccinations and assisting training with the next generation of rural doctors.

He has been on a large number of committees and working parties over the decades hoping to achieve the best outcome for the health of his community at a primary care level and the local hospital.
