Dr Yao Zhang
Graduated from Zhongshan Medical University—one of the most prestigious medical schools in Southern China—in 1984.
Moved to Australia in 1987 and has primarily lived in Adelaide since then.
Began medical career in Australia at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, working there for two years before relocating to Adelaide. Subsequently worked at Flinders Medical Centre, Noarlunga Hospital, and Modbury Hospital.
Rural medical experience includes time in Dubbo (NSW), Casterton (VIC), and nearly a decade at Kincraig Medical Clinic, where currently based.
Areas of special interest include chronic pain management, skin cancer care, type 2 diabetes management, minor procedures, early detection and treatment of bowel cancer, and pediatric health.
Hobbies include photography, cooking, fishing, and home renovation.
Languages spoken: Cantonese, Mandarin, Kaiping (Kadish), Chaozhou (Chaodish), and English.
